Webinar: Use of FP and MCH Services by Adolescents and Young Women in Five Sub-Saharan Countries

Join MEASURE Evaluation on January 9, 2018 at 8:30am EST for a one-hour webinar on use of family planning (FP) and maternal and child health (MCH) services by adolescents and young women in five sub-Saharan African countries. The webinar will be led by Mahua Mandal, PhD, MPH, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist with MEASURE Evaluation.

The webinar will present secondary analysis of Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) data from five countries (Ghana, Mali, Uganda, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo) that examines whether, compared to older women, adolescent girls and young women have increased their use of FP and MCH services over the past decade; if yes, whether the rate of increase has been similar to that of older women; and whether predictors of use of FP and MCH services differ among adolescent girls and young women compared to older women. Dr. Mandal will discuss results of the analysis and implications for programs and policies for adolescent and youth family planning and maternal health.
